Statement of Support

We at EyeCandy would like to make it clear that we stand in firm support of those protesting the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless other Black folks at the hands of the police. Furthermore, we support the effort towards defunding police and unequivocally condemn the rampant brutalization of those participating in direct actions. It is a part of our mission to act as a platform for marginalized perspectives, which is why we have chosen to step back and make space for Black voices during this crucial moment. Additionally, we commit to holding an internal dialogue to re-evaluate our organization and reflect on how we may better incorporate anti-racist practices into our creative process as media makers. We hope that other organizations in similar positions will join us in this commitment. And as always, thank you for reading.
